I wasn’t alive during 9/11. I was born two years later, so I never experienced the sense of helplessness felt as the twin towers collapsed. The world watched in complete mortification as thousands of Americans perished.

Civility is something I strive for in political discussions because it is mutually beneficial for both parties. If one thinks about it, the very aspect of civility is taught to us at such a young age.
