Fake news! Fake news! Fake news! Possibly President Trump’s favorite two worded phrase. He says it in press conferences, speeches, rallies, (in)famous tweets, and in day to day conversations. While the phrase can be seen as crass or rather redundant, there is some truth behind it.

There are three problems with illegal immigration: 1) It is unfair to any potential legal immigrants abiding by the law. 2) Illegal immigration ultimately hurts the economy. 3) Illegal immigration creates a disproportionate amount of crime.
For the record, I am pro-gun and second amendment. I believe calling for an immediate ban on guns is impractical and the success rate will be low.
It is imperative that the common citizen focuses on the means the government uses to protect and secure the American people. From a legal and moral perspective, there are qualms and dilemmas that need to be addressed when arguing such a controversial topic.
